Very strange 1st round of District game tonight as the Chiefs took on the Titans of Southgate.  The score was 8-0 but freshmen and sophomores accounted for almost all of the points. Freshman Jordan Stasak started the scoring from an Ian Petrick pass.  Freshman Petrick, scored the next 2 from Sophomore Landon Julio and Stasak. Petrick was then credited with an assist when he centered a ball that a Southgate player unfortunately scored in his own goal. Sophomore Aidan Dolencic then tucked a beautiful well calculated ball into the farside netting from Sebastian Horvath.  Stasak, who earlier rang the post and had a near miss, scored goal number 6 on the night just before Julio added goal 7.  The final whistle blew to end the shut out when Abdul Ahmad scrambled to score goal 8.  For those who are counting,  that is Huron’s 8th shutout.  The Chief’s back line, led by Senior Captain Drew Slane, has aided in Bradley Hughes success in tallying the 8 shutouts.

District semi-finals against Carlson will be Monday night at Home against Gibraltar Carlson.
