Last game of the Huron League and the Chiefs got word minutes before gametime that they just needed a win to be co-champs.  Milan had tied Grosse Ile and a win for the Chiefs would’ve moved Huron even with Milan in the points race.  Unfortunately, things didn’t go that way for the Chiefs.  Despite a consistent effort the Chiefs found themselves on the sour side of a 3-2 match.  Petrick scored early from a Vasquez pass and Vasquez scored later for the second.  At one-point Petrick got rattled in the box and a pk was hopeful, another goal was scored but disallowed and a shot ricocheted off of the post.  These all had great potential, but it just wasn’t to be.  Huron enters a much needed 8-day rest before taking on Melvindale in their last game before Districts.
