Huron went out swinging.  Admittedly, Huron was not themselves during the first half of the Regional Semi Final at Divine Child. However, they gave the #2 ranked La Salle team everything they could handle in the 2^nd half.  First half action saw a Vasquez corner create havoc in front of the goal where Jordan Stasak kept it alive for Ian Petrick to hammer home.   Down 2-1 at half the Chiefs decided to go for the even up goal and brought a certain hunger that was lacking in the first.   Despite playing more aggressive, and Marton Krajcz assisting Mason Thomas for goal #2, La Salle was on the gifted side of a couple crazy goals.  3 more to be exact.  One shot hit a foot in front of the goal that redirected into the back of the net, one ball was chested over the line and the 3^rd was wide and going out of play but somehow entered the goal.  Crazy things happen in soccer, but the Chiefs were on the losing side of that luck show.   Huron fought all the way until the last whistle and were instructed to walk off the field with their heads up because they were only 3 games from the State Final and lost to the team that will probably, now, be in that State Final. 

In 40 weeks this team will go for this again.  With much sadness they will have to do it without Senior Captains, Noah Manthei and Roman Pritt as well as Jayden Choryan but since the torch has been passed, the recipients are ready to take this farther next year, possibly, State Final?
