Once upon a time long, long ago there was a giant that went around flexing its strength over all the land.  This giant would break teams both physically and mentally until they just rolled over and  gave up.  Along came this honest working Chief that decided to stand up to this giant. A bit timid  in the beginning the Chief gave up a random easy goal off of a corner kick, but gained confidence and began to play stronger.  The giant netted a beautiful 2nd goal, we’ll all agree to that,  giving them a 2-0 lead.  However; the Chief did not turn and hide, actually the Chief pulled out what appeared to be a drum and feather and began to strike it, with each strike the Chief began to stand straighter, run faster, work harder. The giant, a bit confused, flexed its muscles again and scored the first of many questionable goals.  Down 3-0 at half the Chief  sat quietly grabbing a better hold of that drum and feather.

Immediately following the whistle, Andy Traster, a big piece of who the Chief Symbolizes,  ran down a ball from Tyler Toth and nearly beat the keeper.  For the next 22 minutes back and forth action happened between the giant and the drum striking Chief.  Then again misfortune struck.  Bradley Hughes, the Chief goalie, retrieved the ball from the air and with no explanation the ball was forced from his hands resulting in the giant's goal.??????? 4-0.  What happened next? Did the Chief run and hide? Quite the opposite despite 2 more questionable goals being awarded to the giant.  What happened was Luke Hamilton struck the drum and the Chief became stronger.  Sebastian Horvath struck the drum and the team became faster.  Aidan Dolencic struck the drum and coinfidence began to grow.  Carson Downey stuck the drum and this unified presence began to show more and more hunger.  What some would’ve believed to have been a defeated Chief, actually turned out to be a Chief that marches to the beat of his own drum and feather and this story is not over.  Not one Chief wanted nor needed to come off that field  as everyone showed endless effort as they pushed so hard to continue to score.

The moral of the story: never count out a Chief that has a unified rythym from beating his own drum.  The giant may have won this portion of the story but be careful in making any predictions of who will be holding that District Trophy over their heads on that very field in a few weeks.
