TECUMSEH HIGH SCHOOL: 0.00

After racing the giant yellow capsule out to Tecumseh for an hour and ten minutes the Chiefs were fired up and ready to get down to business.  Junior Andy Traster attacked the goal like a ninja, striking the crossbar when Sophomore Aidan Dolencic followed up with his first varsity goal.  What a way to get things started! Huron just looked fast, strong, and precise as they worked together harmoniously despite Tecumseh running at them hard.  Junior midfielder Luke Hamilton scored next in what some were calling the goal of the century.  A full shoe lace volley from 30 yards top shelf, so next level. Minutes later Traster, with his 2nd assist of the night, found Senior Tyler Toth back post for a simple tap-in.  As plays were continuing to develop, junior Sebastian Horvath beat a player around the outside and earned a PK which he rifled in for goal #4.  Huron was firing on all cylinders going into halftime as all players were nervously anticipating senior Brady Fleszar’s return to the game after gashing his chin open which looked like stitches would be inevitable.  It is amazing what a skilled trainer with some band aids can do because Fleszar returned to action alongside dominating senior Drew Slane, sophomore Noah Manthei, junior Jack Maxwell, junior Tony Trupiano, and senior Ibrahim Muhammad.   Huron's midfield was a major contributor to the success of the game and despite not putting up major points, Junior Carson Downey worked tiredlessly in the middle of the field.  Second half action had Dolencic assist Toth in the first minute for goal #5.  Soon thereafter Traster, with his 3rd assist on the night rounded two defenders and picked out Toth back post who not only scored his 3rd of the night but smoked an upper corner header that tore through the net and rolled down the hill into the parking lot and got ran over by our very own school bus (This last part may have been slightly exaggerated).  Still 2 goals away from finishing off the shutout, Freshmen, I mean plural, both Ian Petrick and Jordan Stasak scored their first varsity goals from senior Abdul Ahmad and Luke “The shot heard round the world” Hamilton.  Ayden Shannon, who is still dealing with a leg strain, Roman Pritt and Landon Julio all lended necessary help in the middle of the field.  8-0 was the final which not only gained sophomore Bradley Hughes the win, but also his 2nd shutout of the season in just four games.
