The number 1 ranked Riverview Pirates came over to Arrowhead Stadium to see if they could handle the Chiefs full squad.  With high winds and even higher gusts, the Chiefs made a bold statement in defending against the wind the first half.  Huron and the Pirates exchanged opportunities, despite the wind, until the midway point of the first half. A scuffle in front of the Chief’s Cody Brenner had legs kicking and knees blocking shots until the ball finally found itself in the goal for a Pirate lead.  Halftime came with the game 1-0 and the Chiefs excited to get a little aide from the wind.  Ricky Emelian decided to go upper 90, minutes into the second half to tie the game at 1-1 but the Chiefs weren’t done.  Shots from Shane Gill, Chase Molnar, Ashton Messina, Brendan Pasut, And Alex Davenport continued to complicate matters for the Pirates.  Two different times the Chiefs hit the crossbar and were unable to score the after shot.  No matter what the Chiefs threw at the Pirates, the Pirates were able to keep the ball out of their net and get a scrappy goal with 6 minutes left in the game.  With the level of these two teams, the Huron League May have its first Division 2 District Title in quite sometime.
