Despite the Milli Vanilli t-shirt that coach Lividini was wearing under his Huron gear, he could not “Blame it on the rain”.  SMCC took advantage of two turnovers and cashed in on both of them leading 2-0 until the 34th minute of the first half.  Within those six minutes Alex Davenport scored, Andrew Traster narrowly missed a header, Ricky Emelian scored, and then also narrowly missed a header.  The second half was a long, soggy, rainy mess but both teams continued to battle pretty evenly.  Junior Chandler McCraight was nearly everywhere and proved he has what it takes to make this team successful.  Likewise, Junior Ashton Messina, was a threat nearly every time he was near the ball.  With 13 minutes left, SMCC scored and secured the win, 3-2.  Senior Captain Cody Brenner, made some top level saves and inspired Sophomore Drew Slane to play his best game of the season.
