Lenawee Christian was fortunate to play the Chief’s smaller squad a day after the Chiefs battled Grosse Ile. In their third game in four days the Chiefs appeared to have little left in the gas tank and went down 4-0 in the first 15 minutes.  Any other team, any other time would have given up and got mercied, not this team.  They fought with everything, despite all luck stacked against them.  Four goal deficit would have been nothing, the Chiefs missed opportunity after opportunity including headers and shots point blank.  They possessed the ball equal amount of time and only came away with 1 goal where as Lenawee walked away with 7.  Andrew Traster created the goal by beating the Lenawee keeper to the ball and getting ripped down in the box for his efforts.  The gruesome tackle ended Traster’s night and left the crowd scratching their heads in disbelief as not even a caution was given.  Emelian finished off the penalty and at that point closed the gap to 4-1.  Huron continued to fight and made a long 80 minutes for Lenawee, they made no excuses and showed they can and will fight to achieve success.
