MELVINDALE HIGH SCHOOL: 4
Two of the top two teams downriver and in the state battled evenly for an hour. Brendan Robbins and Nick Clark II scored individual goals to make the score 2-2 and kept everything interesting. With 18 minutes left the Chiefs broke a little and gave up 2 back to back goals. The Chiefs congratulate Melvindale on a job well done and look forward to possibly seeing them again in the Regional final. The Chiefs already new what went wrong and accepted the loss as a growth reward. Brendan Pasut, Ashton Messina, Mackennon Dolencic, Owen Barnes, Ricky Emelian, Braden Damiani, and Cody Brenner are all credited with the Chiefs defending. Only Junior Captain Emelian is a returning starter so this group of defenders should be extremely proud to say they not only joined this group but are making necessary contributions.
