A rope walks into a library and the librarian says “hey we don’t let your kind in here”. The rope walks back outside ties himself into a knot and pulls his fray down like hair.  He walks back in, the librarian says “ hey aren’t you that same rope”? “I’m a frayed knot” replied the rope!  That is what Huron said today as they recovered from a 1-0 deficit in the opening minutes from a penalty shot. In a game where the Chiefs were able to give up under 5 shots on goal, they played a strong posession-filled game that saw them attacking relentlessly.  Sal Marchionda started the scoring off when Vinny Gonzalez slotted a ball to him followed by Gonzalez finding Robby Spradlin back post for goal #2.  Second half action saw all of Hurons’ players getting quality minutes and maintaining their  2-1 lead.  Marchionda scored in the closing moments as Brendan Robbins went on a terror down the right side sending a pass across to his buddy. The Chiefs are now 11-1-1 overall and are pulling for captain Chad Sturgill to be homecoming king as he enters this big weekend. (Adam Brenner created more good memories as he had multiple throw-ins and only had to say sorry once, for one faulty throw-in).
