GROSSE ILE HIGH SCHOOL: 5
Grosse Ile traveled to Arrowhead for what many were calling the “show down”, the battle of the two #1 place teams. Two minutes into the game the referee called a penalty shot against Huron leaving the Chiefs trailing 1-0. Twenty minutes later and playing catch up after the untimely penalty shot, Huron turned the ball over and Grosse Ile scored again sending the game into halftime 2-0, Grosse Ile. Huron struggled with not being the dominating team on the pitch and began slowly breaking down as Grosse Ile would go on to score 3 more unanswered goals. The devastating loss puts Huron at 6-1-1 on the season and has everyone questioning the fate of “ the parking spot”.
