The Jets landed in Arrowhead and played the Chiefs tough.  Huron scored after Brendan Robbins beat a defender and centered the ball to Sal Marchionda. Chad Sturgill scored a brilliant direct free kick and put the relaxed Chiefs up 2-0. Airport scored just before half and again just inside the 2nd half drawing the game tied at 2.  Marchionda added a 2nd on the day from sophomore Ricky Emelian followed by Vinny Gonzalez unassisted. Up 4-2, Marchionda scored from Gonzalez and then again unassisted bringing his day total to 4.  Robert Oaks narrowly missed an outstretched header and Sam Hughes had a few attempts on net.  Travis Russell, Mackennon Dolencic, and Adam Brenner worked tirelessly to keep the Airport attackers from doing any real damage while Nick Pasut was credited with his 6th win of the season.  Remy Emelian and Robby Spradlin worked to win the midfield and support fellow teammates Jacob O’Neal and Matisse Dornier. The 6-2 victory sends the Chiefs into Wednesday’s first place show down with Grosse Ile, undefeated (6-0-1).  Wednesday 9/12 at home, tell a friend.
