The beautiful new red nets were about the only things going into the goals today for the Chiefs.  After rattling the crossbars a couple of times, having balls cleared from the goal line, missing the goal, and watching the SMCC goalie make save after save, the Chiefs were content with letting SMCC walk away with the game. The Chiefs trailed nearly the entire time after SMCC scored first from a direct free kick.  After the humidity forced the game to be divided into quarters the Chiefs were left with only 19:46 left on the clock starting the 4th quarter.  HUGE, no HUGHES, happened.  Sam Hughes came into the game and immediately calmed things down and allowed pass after pass to be effective allowing the Chiefs to have shot after shot resulting in the tie-ing goal from Brendan Robbins to Robby Spradlin.  Minutes later Chad Sturgill launched a direct free kick that Vinnie Gonzalez buried for the game winner.  SMCC was awarded a PK with seconds left on the clock but Nick Pasut collected the well placed shot neatly denying the tie-up.  

On a side note, the parking spot remains unclaimed.
