The Chiefs played their home opener today at the Arrowhead Stadium making quick work of the Jefferson Bears.  Sal Marchionda scored off of an Adam Brenner throw in followed by Ricky Emilian slotting a ball through to Marchionda followed by Brendan Robbins nocking a pass to Marchionda.  Captain Chad Sturgill buried a penalty that Ricky Emilian was awarded when he dramatically dove into the pk area.  Captain Vinnie  Gonzalez sliced through players to assist on Rob Spradlin’s first of the night.  Marchionda scored a 4th, after sitting for a bit, when he captured a pass from 11th grader Matisse Dornier who played in his debut.  Marchionda assisted Spradlin and then assisted Gonzalez to rap up the game and send everyone racing to the concessions for the $3 meal deal( hot dog, chips,drink, and cookie). What a deal? Right? Huron was very impressed with Jefferson and the team they are building there.

As a reminder, the Chiefs are back at home Monday 27th against SMCC.  This is picture day so all players come prepared.
