Renton Cross Country participated in the second annual Jet Jam, a 1K relay-style race that was both exciting to watch and a great workout. The Chiefs gave it their all, finished strong, and the outlook for the rest of the season is promising.
The boys' team kicked off the event with the duo of Zach Biller and Hudson Shastal (24:59.0) leading the way, placing 12th out of 52 two-person teams and earning medals for their top 20 finish. Following them were Jackson Dodson and Carter Crane (27:09.5) in 22nd, Connor Vajen and Josh Slater (27:52.6) in 27th, Griffin Bozich and Brady Allen (30:26.4) in 35th, and Ryan Clelland and Dominic Rempe (30:27.6) in 36th. Well done, guys!
The girls' team also put on a strong performance, with two pairs earning medals. Renton’s top relay teams were Zoey Cheney and Jennalynn Bronstein (26:45.1), who finished 9th, and Sonya Glodowski and Brooklynn Boggs (27:20.6), who came in 12th—both teams medaling for their top 20 finishes out of 39 teams. Other strong finishes came from Riley Szawara and Isabel Kridner (30:24.6) in 25th, Aithy Le and Julia Bronstein (32:09.6) in 32nd, and Anna Cheney and Addison Block (33:31.2) in 33rd. Great job, ladies!
