League Jamboree #2 – October 3, 2023

The evening kicked off with almost perfect weather—perhaps a bit too warm for the Renton boys' cross-country team. Despite the heat, the boys ran strong, staying in packs and securing solid team placements. Zach Biller (14:23) was the first Renton runner to cross the finish line, placing 21st out of 85 racers, followed closely by Hudson Shastal (14:23) in 22nd, Jackson Dodson (14:27 PR) in 23rd, Connor Vajen (14:44) in 25th, Brady Allen (15:25 PR) in 37th, Dominick Rempe (15:26 PR) in 38th, Carter Crane (15:27 PR) in 39th, Griffin Bozich (17:05) in 56th, Ryan Clelland (17:08) in 57th, and Josh Slater (19:39) in 77th. Great racing, boys!

When it came time for the Renton girls' cross-country team, the weather took a dramatic turn. Their race began in a downpour, with gusting winds and a sudden 10-degree temperature drop. Despite the challenging conditions, the girls pushed through and raced exceptionally well. Jennalynn Bronstein (14:46) and Sonia Glodowski (14:46) led the Renton girls, finishing 12th and 13th respectively out of 46 runners. They were followed by Riley Szawara (16:17) in 22nd, Zoey Cheney (16:37) in 25th, Brooklyn Boggs (16:50) in 27th, Sabrina Mac (17:07) in 30th, Aithy Le (17:12 PR) in 33rd, Isabel Kridner (18:54) in 41st, Julia Bronstein (19:58) in 43rd, Addison Block (19:58) in 44th, and Anna Cheney (20:24) in 45th. Well done, ladies!
