The JV volleyball team fell short to SMCC tonight in their first league game of the season.  SMCC is always a tough team to play, and most likely the strongest team we will face all season.  The lady chiefs battled hard the first set, despite being up for most of the time, we took the loss in the first set only 23-25. This team is young, and the amount of progress I have seen in them over the last 3 weeks is pretty incredible.  The girls played great and proved that they can compete against some of the best teams they will face all year.  Games like this only show us how to become better, and each week this group of girls have done just that. 

Addison McFadden led the team with 10 digs and 2 kills.  Defensively, it was the best game I've seen her play yet.  Maddy Beaubien & Brooke Semone were also very strong at the net having some very strong blocks.  Brianna Holbrook had 6 digs and Emily Moreno led with 6 assists. 

Wish them luck as the chiefs head to Jefferson on Wednesday to play at 5:30!
