Sat. Oct. 28 – MHSAA Region 18-2

Under perfect racing conditions on the Lake Erie course at the MHSAA Region 18 competition, the Chiefs advanced four All-Regional runners to the State Finals next Saturday, November 4th at MIS. Congratulations: Falyn Doss, Avery Turk, Luke Dulecki, & Abdul Ghennewa!

In the Boys Varsity D2 race, Luke Dulecki leading the team placed 6th (16:34.4 PR), and Abdul Ghennewa in 10^th (16:51.9 SR) both earned All-Region medals and sealed their entry to the state finals. Lucas Kuhn finishing among the top 20 came in at 18^th (17:19.1), followed by Louie Macon 37^th (18:08.7 PR), Lucas Worrell 41^st (18:20.5 PR), Cameron Crane 56^th (18:55.3), and Kyle Biller 60^th (19:28.0). Huron finished 4^th overall once again this year and were only 9 points away from qualifying for states as a team.

In the JV boys’ race, Huron had three personal records and one season best for the day. Evan Banas led the Chiefs placing 66^th (19:26.2 SR) out of 177 runners, followed by Cole Druyor 87^th (20:02.2), Deegan Richardson 93^rd (20:12.6 PR), Broderick Yensch 110^th (20:56.5), Ben Holbrook 113^th (20:59.3 PR), Garrett Cheney 116^th (21:12.1), Austin Krause 124^th (21:35.1), Jack Fisher 142^nd (22:48.9 PR), Garrett Patrick 143^rd (22:49.3), Drew Blosser 157^th (24:17.4), Joel Lazenby 165^th (26:04.1), Jacob Bentley 167^th (26:38.1), Rocco Sells 175^th (33:58.6), Roman Whitmore 176^th (33:58.7), Noah Myshock 177^th (33:58.8).
