Thurs. Oct. 21 – Huron League Championship

Huron Cross Country took some time to honor our seniors and their parents at the Huron League Championship Meet. Senior yard signs were displayed coming into the third and final mile for some. Congratulations Class of 2021-22: Trent Doss, Tyler Doss, Miles Fichtner, Charlie Hoke, Owen Lazenby, and Breen Patrick!

The Huron Varsity Boys Team placed 4^th at the league meet and overall in league standings. For the Chiefs, Ryan Morris placing 8^th (17:43.7) and Griffin Mentzer 13^th (18:22.5) earned a medal and Huron League – Second Team honors. Breen Patrick in 15^th (18:25.7) narrowly missing all league honors for top 14. Tyler Doss finish 22^nd (19:00.2) out of 54, Lucas Kuhn 25^th (19:19.4), Owen Lazenby 34^th (19:50.7), Evan Banas 37^th (20:01.5).

The JV team finished 2^nd overall with five runners in the top 14: Lucas Worrell 5^th (20:29.6), Kyle Biller 6^th (20:36.4), Caiden Siggett 8^th (20:46.1), Jacob Welch 12^th (21:12.7), and Miles Fichtner 14^th (21:49.8). Matthew Hibbs followed right behind in 15^th (21:51.2) out of 43, Noah Myshock 22^nd (22:41.7), Samuel Stanley 23^rd (22:46.8), Garrett Cheney 25^th (22:57.4), Hunter Szawara 26^th (22:59.4), Rocco Sells 28^th (23:32.0 PR), Nathan Zakar 29^th (23:44.9), Charlie Hoke 30^th (23:49.0), Trent Doss 31^st (23:50.5), Deegan Richardson 34^th (24:40.6 PR), Kragen Patrick 40^th (27:48.0), Liam Hilliker 41^st (27:58.1).
