Renton Boys places 2nd at Airport Invite

Saturday, October 24, 2020- Airport Invitational Renton varsity boys’ team in the last race of the season placed second out of six teams earning a trophy. They had six place in the top 20 that brought home medals Jakob Furkas 4th (12:10.4PR), Lucas Kuhn 6th (12:17.8), Luke Dulecki 11th (12:46.1), Evan Banas 13th (13:17.2), Louie Macon 14th (13:32.4), Lucas Worrell 15th (13:34.3), and Ryan Biller 21st (13:54). Varsity team score- Simpson 35, Renton 40, Monroe Milers 74, Seitz 115, Wagar 122, St. Charles 145 Renton JV Boys Destroyed the competition by taking the top four spots in the race, placed first as a team out of five teams.  Led by Kyle Biller who took 1st (13:46.5) out of 32 runners, followed by Cameron Crane 2nd (14:11.4PR), Nathan Zakar 3rd (14:48.4), Kyle Siggett 4th (14:52.7). Other finishers Austin Krause 7th (15:50.0), Gus Stapleton 11th (16:06.0), Cole Druyor 18th (16:36.6), Lincoln Shastal 20th (16:39.4PR), Tanner Kuhn 24th (17:49.4PR), and Joel Lazenby 30th (20:53.3). JV Boys team score- Renton 17, Simpson 69, Monroe Milers 75, Seitz 89, Wagar 103 Renton girls place fifth out of seven teams. The girls had two place in the top twenty and receive medals Leah Emch (13:03.2) placed 5th out of 55 racers and Maggie Mentzer 17th (14:57.5). Saturday, October 17, 2020-Huron League Jamboree #3 It was the last league jamboree of the 2020 season. What an awesome day to run it on. The Renton boys team came in second out of six teams, which means they were second in the overall league standings. Renton boy’s top runners were Lucas Kuhn 2nd (12:09.2), Jakob Furkas 4th (12:24.3PR), Luke Dulecki 9th (13:03.3), Evan Banas 10th (13:11.7), and Louie Macon 11th (13:32.9) received top 14 all league honors. Other finishers Ryan Biller 16th (13:59.5), Kyle Biller 18th (14:10.6), Lucas Worrell 19th (14:13.6), Cameron Crane 25th (14:39.8), Kyle Siggett 27th (14:47.3), Ian Ankenbauer 31st (15:20.9), Nathan Zakar 36th (15:34.7), Austin Krause 47th (16:25.2), Gus Stapleton 51st (16:31.6), Cole Druyor 52nd (16:40.5), Lincoln Shastal 55th (16:52.6), Tanner Kuhn 62nd (18:33.9PR), and Joel Lazenby 69th (21:13.5). Boys Team Score- Simpson-31, Renton-36, Monroe Jefferson-106, Seitz-111, Wagar-127, Grosse Ile-127 Renton girls team came in missing a few but ran well as individuals. As a team, the girls placed fifth as a team out of eight, which translates to third as a team in the league overall.  Top girls Leah Emch 1st (12:53.6) and Maggie Mentzer 13th (15:00.4) received top 14 all-league honors. Saturday, October 10, 2020- Huron League Jamboree #2 It was a breezy day for a race, but the Renton Varsity boys didn’t let that slow them down. The boys took 2nd as a team out of 6 teams. Renton’s top runner was Lucas Kuhn placed 4th (12:02.3PR) out of 52 runners, the rest of the boys finished very close behind, Jakob Furkas 5th (12:32.7), Luke Dulecki 6th (12:37.4), Louie Macon 9th (13:06.9), Evan Banas 10th (13:09.8), Ryan Biller 17th (13:59.1), Lucas Worrell 18th (14:04.6), and Kyle Biller 25th (14:46.3). Varsity Team Scores- Simpson-29, Renton-34, Seitz-99, Wagar-124, Monroe Jefferson-124, Grosse Ile-131 The future look bright with JV boys’ team, they were the only full team in the race. The boys took the top seven spots lead by Cameron Crane  who took 1st (14:39.1) out of 21 runners, followed closely by  Kyle Siggett 2nd (15:06.4), Ian Ankenbauer 3rd (15:17.4), Austin Krause 4th (15:58.0), Gus Stapleton 5th (16:16.2), Cole Druyor 6th (16:32.8), Lincoln Shastal 7th (16:37.8), Will Ryan 10th (17:41.8), Broderick Yensch 17th (21:22.9), Joel Lazenby 19th (24:00.8). JV Team Score – Renton-15 Renton girls team not to be outdone took 1st as a team out of 8 teams. Leah Emch 3rd (12:52.3) out of 58 racers, was the girl’s top runner. Next Renton finishers were Avery Turk 5th (13:40.0PR), Maggie Mentzer 11th (14:54.1), Falyn Doss 16th (15:31.5), Kirsten Perecki 21st (16:41.9), Julia Welch 38th (19:10.2), Kayden Zakar 40th (19:28.7), Amelia Szawara 41st (19:36.7), Cheyenne Potter 49th (22:22.0), and Alyssa Henninger 50th (22:43.0). Saturday, October 3,2020-Monroe Milers Invite The weather couldn’t have been any better, and the course couldn’t have been any flatter to set up a ton of PR’s (Personal Records). It started with the sixth grade Renton boys.  The top 12 racers receive medals Cameron Crane 6th (14:30.64PR) out of 31 runners, Kyle Siggett 9th (14:34.23PR), Austin Krause 12th (15:57.30PR). Ribbons were awarded to places 13 to 24, Gus Stapleton 13th (15:58.71PR), Lincoln Shastal 19th (16:42.13PR), Cayden Banko 20th (16:43.89PR), Tanner Kuhn 26th (18:56.00PR), and Chase Stewart 27th (19:08.27) Julia Welch (18:12.23PR) the lone representative for Renton in the sixth-grade girl's race placed 17th out of 28 runners winning a ribbon for her top 24 finish. In the 7th/8th grade boys’ race, Renton had four receive medals, and four receive ribbons out of 61 runners.  Luke Dulecki 8th (12:18.07PR), Lucas Kuhn 9th (12:23.95), Evan Banas 11th (12:53.73PR), Louie Macon 12th (12:53.97PR) received medals. Ribbon recipients Ryan Biller 14th (13:14.86PR), Lucas Worrell 20th (13:28.77PR), Kyle Biller 21st (13:39.06PR). Other finishers Nathan Zakar 27th (14:04.92PR), Ian Akenbauer 39th (15:06.00PR), Cole Druyor 48th (16:13.93), Cameron Stewart 53rd (16:35.06PR), Will Ryan 57th (17:11.99PR), Joel Lazenby 61st (22:11.55)  Finishing the with the girls 7th/8th grade race where Leah Emch (12:30.99PR) took 3rd with a great finish, out of 47 racers to win a medal. Ribbon award winners Falyn Doss 14th (14:14.43PR), Maggie Mentzer 15th (14:15.63), Kirsten Perecki 21st (16:00.27). Other Finishers Addison Beddow 40th (19:01.42), Kayden Zakar 41st (19:07.02), Amelia Szawara 43rd (19:33.05), Cheyenne Potter 44th (19:53.45PR), Alyssa Henninger 45th (20:53.22PR).
