"This was by far our best game of the season. We came off a week of great practices with a lot of energy and you could feel some chemistry developing. The kids are buying into each other and committing to communication and effort. To see a full 9 inning performance, really from both teams, was a great game to watch. We battled in the box and put the ball in play, a lot actually. Many good swings that just didnt land. Perry came in to pinch hit in the 5th and blasted one easily 200 feet plus but the wind killed it and they were camped out under it, took a huge hit away. We never let up though. Gray put the team on her back and really gained some confidence this game. She threw a two hitter with 15 strike out and a lot of big plays made behind her. It was really just a complete game from all 12 kids. Maria Vella was the winning run. Lexi Thomas came up huge with a great at bat in the top of 9 to drive the ball to the right side, scoring Vella on a sac fly!! Maria Vella Came off the bench to pinch run... to see the whole team grind it out and role play to the level they did, says a lot about them. Very proud of our kids this evening."
