ST. MARY CATHOLIC CENTRAL: 36
The Varsity Chiefs traveled to Navarre Field on Friday night to face the SMCC Falcons. The Falcons won the contest 36-8. QB Cash Moczydlowski was 19 of 24 for 192 yards. He also had a rushing touchdown and a 2 point conversion on the ground. Ryan Anderson had 9 receptions for 101 yards. Brad Hughes had 4 receptions for 67 yards and 2 carries for 21 yards. Austin O’Dell had 7 carries for 39 yards and one reception for 7 yards. Hunter Mihal had 2 receptions for 7 yards. Jamil Brown had 5 carries for 30 yards. Jake Furkas had one reception for 10 yards. A.T. Taylor also had 2 receptions. Defensively, the Chiefs had strong performances from Nate Matsos (10 tackles) and Drew Ladach (8 tackles). The Varsity Chiefs (0-2 Overall; 0-1 Huron League) have their first home game this week on Friday, September 13 at 7pm vs the Milan Big Reds. Go Chiefs!
