The Varsity Huron Chiefs played their first home game of the 2024 season on Friday, September 13 against the Milan Big Reds, and they won in what was a tale of 2 halves. The Chiefs were down 0-7 at the half, and they came out strong in the 2nd half anchored by strong blocking by Cayden Delaney, Colton Marentette, Brandon Potter, Noah Herron, Garrett Wezner, Hunter Mihal and Drew Ladach. With the efforts of his offensive line, Austin O’Dell ran all over the Milan defense. Austin O’Dell had 21 carries for 139 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. A.T. Taylor had a 21 yard run for a touchdown. Jamil Brown had 3 carries for 15 yards and a touchdown. QB Cash Moczydlowski was 3 of 7 passing for 35 yards. He also had 29 rushing yards.
