In what has been a unique season to say the least, the Huron Chiefs traveled to Carleton to face the Airport Jets for the first game of the season.  The Chiefs got of to a great start when Isaac Smith returned the opening kickoff for 75 yards behind a wall of great blocking to strike first.  The offense was rusty at times but managed to score 34 points to secure the win.  The offensive success started in the trenches with Zack Taylor, Tyler Short, Kam Buettner, Ethan Webb, Caden Galinis, and Rory Callahan.  They paved the way for Austin Myers to throw for 252 yards and 4 TD.  Isaac Smith had 8 catched for 124 yards, Chase Molnar had 6 catches for 83 yards (including a 2 point conversion), and Gabe Anthony rounded out the day with a 36 yard TD reception.  The defense played well against a physical Airport offensive attack.  Kam Buettner, Tycen Stevens, Chase Molnar, and Zander Carr led the team in tackles while Matthew Williams and Jayden Craig secured the secondary.  The Chiefs will host Grosse Ile next Friday in what should be a great game.
