Chiefs go 5-0 on the day in order to win their third tournament of the season. Huron came off to a slow start against Concord losing the first set but rallied to win the next two. This would be the one and only set they drop on the day. After a decisive win against Olivet, Huron won their pool and received a first round bye in tournament play. With strong serving and a dominating offensive performance, the Chiefs defeated Durand in order to advance to the semi-finals where they matched up against fellow Huron League opponent Milan. Milan proved to be a difficult opponent keeping the scores close. However, Huron was able to come out on top in each of the first two sets advancing to the championship game. Their final test would be against tournament host Whitmore Lake. After coming back from behind in the first set to win 25-22, the Chiefs had a dominating performance in the second set to complete an impressive day of competition. 

"These amazing women continue to impress me with their determination and hard work. They overcame many mental barriers today. With it being such a long day of competition, I was proud of the way they were able to re-focus and re-energize themselves after each break. It is a great feeling when you are able to accomplish a tournament win with every team member contributing to the success."
