RIVERVIEW COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL: 1
Chiefs got off to a great start in Game 1 and continued to battle the next three games to defeat Riverview. Tylutki and Umin lead the team with 11 and 8 kills respectively while Tylutki and Callahan lead in blocks with 6 each. As a team, the chiefs had 14 aces and played solid defense with Vella leading the team with 20 digs.
"Riverview pushed us physically and mentally throughout each game by continuing to fight back anytime we had a lead. Looking at previous film, I saw they were a feisty team that would never give up so we were always looking to stay ahead. I was very happy with how well our team played defensively. Our serve receive continues to improve and their hard work has been paying off. I am excited to help and watch these girls improve as we continue league play."
