The Chiefs small team played at home Friday night against the Rams. With only one sub, the Chiefs went to work early when Tyler Toth assisted Ricky Emelian. Shane Gill assisted Emelian minutes later just before Toth scored his first ever Varsity goal from Alex Davenport. Chandler McCraight and Noah Kilmark ran the middle while Sophomore Drew Slane helped out in the back line. Hayden Stanczyk and Alec Richardson worked up and down the field both attacking and defending. More goal scoring came from a Brendan Pasut header assisted equally to Gill and Davenport. Goal five was Noah Kilmark’s first ever Varsity goal assisted to Davenport. Emelian added one more before half from Davenport to have a score of 6-0 at half. Second half action saw Gill score from Ashton Messina, Toth recording his second from Davenport, and Emelian finishing up the game from Davenport after the Rams had snuck one in. Sophomore Anthony Gill made his Huron Varsity start between the pipes and handled the ball with confidence. His calm demeanor and large punts were truly appreciated by his teammates on the field.
Huron is back in action Monday the 5th at 7:00 against Milan
