The Huron Chiefs outlasted the Jefferson Bears Friday on Senior Night by a score of 87-74. But it was the Juniors and Sophomores that had big games for Huron.  Sophomore Center Rory Callahan had a season and career high 22 points to pace the Chiefs. Junior Guard Isaac Smith contributed 13 points and Forward Cole Grunwald added 11.  We did a better job of cutting down on our turnovers and hitting our free throws than when we played them at their place said Huron Coach Bob Blosser.  Huron broke from a one point halftime lead by outscoring the Bears 27-18 in the 3rd quarter to take a 10 point lead into the 4th.  Senior Jackson Barath kept Jefferson close by scoring 35 points and Lucas Leadingham had 12.  I told Jackson during introductions that I am glad I don't have to game plan for him anymore. He is virtually unstoppable.  Jefferson hosts Clinton tomorrow and enters the district with a game at Milan next Tuesday. Huron has a makeup game with Riverview and then is the District host next Thursday against Ecorse.
