With Micah Smith On The Mound, Huron Shuts Out Flat Rock
Micah Smith had all the right stuff on Tuesday for Chiefs, allowing zero runs and besting Flat Rock by a score of 10-0
Huron opened up scoring in the first inning, when Cole Grunwald doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
The Chiefs put up five runs in the second inning. Rory Callahan, Connor Grant, and Jacob Handyside all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Micah Smith was credited with the victory for Huron. The righthander went five innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out 14.
The Chiefs collected 16 hits in the contest. Cole Grunwald, Gavin Moczydlowsky , Rory Callahan, Issac Smith, Jaden Morse, and Jacob Handyside all collected multiple hits for Huron. Moczydlowsky and Grunwald each had three hits to lead the Chiefs to victory and their 2nd consecutive Huron League Championship
