ETHAN CONNOR THROWS A PERFECT GAME LEADING THE WAY TO A 11-0 WIN OVER GROSSE ILE

It was senior day and New Boston Huron Monday evening, where all 8 seniors took the field for the last time today. Senior Ethan Connor took the hill for the last time at his home ball park and he took advantage of his last start throwing a perfect game. The lefty allowed zero hits striking out 8 and waking zero.

Other seniors such as Jacob Handyside, Micah Smith and Nate Morse collected two each each and Dayton Miller (SOPH) had two as well.

The Chiefs collected 9 hits total Brad Hughes and Cash Muzzy was also perfect at the plate going 1-1 each.

Huron is 24-4 on the season

New Boston Split Saturdays double header with Detroit Edison PSA. Game one loss 3-2 despite Cash Muzzy's spectacular pitching performance recording 17 outs with 6 via strike outs in 5 2/3 inning. 

Jacob Handyside,Nate Morse, Kyle Kantola, Myles Grace, Jacob Furkas and Jackson Surma each collected hits for the Chiefs.

Game two saw Gavin O'Hara on the mound for 6 innings giving up zero runs and recording eight strike outs.

Myles Grace delivered the big blow in the sixth inning with a three run home run in the bottom of the sixth giving the Chiefs a 7-0 lead going into the top of the seventh. Myles drove in 4 runs in the game the other RBI came in the third inning with a two strike base hit. Myles was 3-4 in the game.

The Chiefs collected 9 hits during game two with Grace (3), Dayton Miller (1), Jackson Surma (1), Nate Morse (1), Cash Muzzy (1),Tyler Ramsby (1) and Austin O'Dell (1).

The Huron Chiefs are now 15-2 on the season,  5-0 in the league.

Kyle Kantola WITH 4 HITS AS HURON BEAT DIVINE CHILD

Kyle Kantola collected four hits in four at bats, as Huron defeated Divine Child Falcons 10-0 on Thursday at DC high school on Thursday. Kantola singled in the fourth inning singled in the first inning, singled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

The Chiefs were the first to get on the board in the first when Nate Morse singled, scoring two runs.

Micha Smith earned the win for Huron. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine ad walking four. Ethan Connor threw one inning in relief.

The Chiefs piled up 10 hits in the game. Morse drove the middle of the lineup, leading Huron with four runs batted in. The right handed hitter went 2-4 at the plate, The Chiefs had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Tyler Ramsby and Connor Grant led the team with two walks each.

The Chiefs are now 14-1 on the season and 5-0 in Huron league play.

HURON VARSITY CHIEFS IMPRESSIVE IN WIB AGAINST GROSSE ILE VARSITY RED DEVILS

Huron easily dispatched Grosse Ile on Wednesday, 13-0.

The Chiefs jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Connor Grant singled, scoring one run, Nate Morse was hit by a pitch, driving in another run, Noah Banas drew a walk, scoring one run and Austin O'Dell hit into a fielders choice scoring two runs.

Huron then score five runs on five on five hits in the third inning. Cash Muzzy singled, scoring one run, Micah Smith singled, scoring one run Myles Grace grounded out, scoring two runs and Kyle Kantola singled, scoring one run.

Caiden Siggett earned the win for Huron. Siggett allowed four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking none.

O'Dell led the Chiefs with two RBI's. Grant went 3-3 at the plate. Kantola collected two hits as well.

HURON CHIEFS TRIUMPH OVER RIVERVIEW PIRATES

Huron Chiefs were triumphant over Riverview 5-1 on Monday at New Boston. Riverview jumped out to a 1-0 lead until Huron flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring 5 runs on three hits to take a 5-1 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Cash Muzzy that drove in two.

Kyle Kantola earned the win for Huron. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and one run over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Jakob Furkas pitched two innings of zero-run ball for Huron while striking out three and walking none.

Nate Morse went 2 for three at the plate to lead Huron in hits.

New Boston Huron Boys Varsity Baseball Team won both games at Monroe High Saturday 12-5 and 19-11.

The Chiefs scored 31 runs Saturday on 31 hits and 13 walks.

Ethan Connor earned the win on the mound the first game allowing 3 runs and 5 strike outs, while Gavin O'Hara earned the win for the Chiefs the second game allowing 2 runs striking out 3.

POWERFUL PITCHING PERFORMANCE FROM MICAH SMITH CARRIES HURON CHIEFS PAST AIRPORT JETS

Micah Smith struck out 10 batters as the righty led Huron past Airport. Smith allowed eight hits and three runs over six innings.

Huron didn't take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at three in the top of the seventh when Jackson Surma laid down a sac bunt, scoring one run. A perfect sucide squeeze.

Jones singled, which helped Airport tie the game at three in the bottom of the sixth.

Cash Muzzy collected the save in the bottom of the seventh.

The Chiefs collected 9 hits in the game. Surma provided the pop in the middle of the line up, and led Huron with two RBI's. The right handed hitter went 1-3 on the day with a double. Connor Grand made the most of their chances. The number 9 hitter led the team with three hits in three at bats. Myles Grace collected two hits in the game with a triple and a base hit.

STRONG HITTING NOT ENOUGH AS HURON CHIEFS FALLS TO SOUTHGATE ANDERSON

Huron fell 4-3 to Southgate on Saturday at Allen Park High School on Saturday despite out-hitting them eight to five. Jackson Surma led Huron with three hits.

The Chiefs were the first to get on the board in the first when Nate Morse singled scoring one run.

Huron added one run in te second after Kyle Kantola singled on a 3-0 count and then added another run in the third after Surma singled.

Southgate took the lead in the bottom of the fourth 4-3.

The Chiefs half of the seventh inning, with the go ahead runs in scoring position, the game ended when Nate Morse hit a line drive into right field and Southgate's right fielder made a great play to end the game.

The Chiefs suffered its first loss of the season. 6-1.

POWERFUL PITCHING PERFORMANCE FROM MICAH SMITH CARRIES HURON PAST ALLEN PARK

Micah Smith struck out 13 batters as the starting pitcher led Huron past Allen Park 6-3 on Saturday at Allen Park High School. Smith surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings while walking two. 

Huron got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jakob Furkas singled, Nate Morse singled, and Cash Muzzy grounded out, each scoring one run.

Allen Park tied the game at three on a single by Matt Lieb.

In the top of the seventh, Huron broke up the tie when Furkas singled, scoring one run. Then a single by Muzzy followed to extend the lead to 6-3.

Ethan Connor earned the win for the Chiefs. The lefty surrendered four hits and three runs (zero earned) over one inning, striking out one.

The Chiefs collected nine hits in the game. Myles Grace, Kyle Kantola, Jackson Surma, Nate Morse, Cash Muzzy, Conner Grant and Tyler Ramsby all had one hit a piece and Jacob Furkas led the offence with 2 hits and 2 RBI's, Muzzy collected the other 3 RBI's.

This was the Chiefs 6 win in a row to start the season.

CASH MUZZY DRIVES IN 4 TO LEAD HURON PAST FLAT ROCK  RAMS

Cash Muzzy drove in four runs on two hits to lead Huron past Flat Rock 13-2 on Monday.  Muzzy singled in the first inning , scoring two runs, and singled in the fourth inning scoring two.

Huron won thanks in part to seven runs in the first inning. Jakob Furkas singled, scoring one run, Nate Morse hit a sac fly, scoring one run Muzzy singled, scoring two runs, Kyle Kantola's infield hit and a throwing error scored another 3 runs.

Kantola earned the win for Huron. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and two runs over four and one-third innings, striking out four. Austin O'Dell came in relief to close the game out in the fifth.

Muzzy, Furkas and Kantola collected two hits a pc while the Chiefs collected 11 hits.

Huron Varsity Beat Tecumseh Indians 4-3

Huron was triumphant over Tecumseh 4-3 on Wednesday. Tecumseh Indians got on the board in the first inning.

The Chiefs captured the lead 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth when Nate Morse doubled, scoring two runs and Noah Banas singed, scoring one run.

Jacob Furkas earned the win for Huron. The right-handed pitcher allowed three hits and one run over two and and two thirds innings striking out 2. Jackson Surma led things off on the hill for Huron. The right-handed pitcher surrendered 4 hits and 1 run, striking out 1 and walking 1. Cash Muzzy earned the save coming in with 2 out, bases loaded in a 4-3 game and in dramatic fashion struck out the Tecumseh batter.

Muzzy,Surma and Furkas are all Freshman.

Banas and Kyle Kantola each collected two hits. Morse led Huron with 2 RBI's.

The Chiefs are 5-0 on the season.

Bottom of the Lineup Carries Huron Past Milan

The bottom of the lineup helped Huron Varsity capture a 6-3 victory over Milan on Tuesday. Jacob Handyside, Tyler Ramsby and Cash Muzzy combined for four of the team's six hits in the victory. They scored one run ad drove in one.

The Chiefs were the first to get on the board in the first inning when Nate Morse was struck by a pitch, driving in one run. Huron added one run in the second after Myles Grace walked.

Micah Smith earned the win for Huron. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over 4 innings, striking out nine. Tyler Phillips collected the save.

Tyler Ramsby led the team with two hits in three at bats. Morse, Muzzy and Jacob Furkas each drove in one run for Huron. Jacob Handyside doubled. Kyle Kantola and Connor Grant each collected three walks.

Bottom of the Line Up Carries Huron past Wyandotte

The bottom of the line up helped Huron capture a 6-2 victory over Wyandotte on Thursday. Nate Morse, Austin O'Dell and Cash Muzzy combined for four of the teams eight hits in the victory. They scored three runs and drove in two.

Myles Grace singled, which helped Huron tie the game at one in the bottom of the third. An error in the field helped Huron tie the game at two in the bottom of the fifth.

The Chiefs took the lead in the bottom of the sixth thanks to singles by Jackson Surma and Morse.

Caiden Siggett earned the win for Huron. The reliever gave up one hit and one run (zero earned)over 4 and 1/3 innings striking out 5. Gavin O'Hara started on the mound allowing zero hits and one run over 2 and 2/3 innings striking out 3 and giving up zero hits.

Morse went 3 for 3 at the plate and Jackson Surma and Cash Muzzy (Freshman ) each collected their first varsity hits breaking the game open to take the lead for the Chiefs that would end up being the winning runs.
