JV FINISHED THE YEAR 17-7 WITH WIN OVER JEFFERSON

The Chiefs defeated Jefferson 14-2 to win the Huron league title for the 4th straight year. Ty Miller , Landon Campbell and Keaton Diserens held the Bears to 5 hits and struck out 9 batters. Dom Russo , Max Morse , Tyler Gray, Ty Miller and Colton Kennedy each collected 2 hits. Morse ,Gray and Miller all had 2 RBI's to lead the Chiefs.

CHIEFS / JETS TIE AT 10 A PIECE

Huron scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to tie the game at 6. Jason Whitehill started the inning by getting hit by the pitch and is followed by Jayden Jenkins with a walk after a pass ball puts runner on 2nd and 3rd when Aiden Sainato hit a rocket to 3rd and was thrown out at 1st on a close play but Dom Russo ( ran for Whitehill) scored on the play. Shaun Folkwein collected his 3rd hit of the game to drive in Jenkins to make the score 10-8. Folkwein steals 2nd base and scores on the next play when Tyler Logdson singled to center. Max Morse walked putting runners on 1st and 2nd after another wild pitch puts runners on 2nd and 3rd Nate Matos drives in the tying run with an infield hit to 3rd . Huron could not plate the winning run when the last 2 Huron hitters struck out.  

JENKINS FANS 14 / FORESTER DRIVES IN WINNING RUN IN 3-1 WIN

Jordyn Jenkins struck out 14 of 20 batters faced he faced while Keaton Diserens struck out the only batter he faced for the save. The Chiefs had numerous chances to score in the early innings but could not get the key hit when needed . Cole Forester had 2 hits but none more important that his single in the top of the 7th to score Nate Matsos for the 2-1 lead. Aiden Sainato's hard ground ball single scores Forester for the final run of the game. The defensive play of the game was Shaun Folkwein's diving catch on the lead off hitter to start the 7th inning. The win puts the Chiefs in a 2 way tie for 1st for the league title which would be their 4th straight league title

CHIEFS FALL TO WARRIORS 5-3

Huron play division 1 Woodhaven close behind Tyler Gray's pitching efforts. Gray allowed 3 earned runs in 5.2 innings while striking out 1 Woodhaven batter.  Freshman Luke Picklesimer had 1 of the 3 Chiefs hits on the day. Jordyn Jenkins also had a hit and drove in e of the 3 Huron runs. 

JENKINS SPINS A JEM IN COMPLETE GAME WIN

Jordyn Jenkins started and threw a complete game striking out 9 and allowing only 1 earned run in 7 innings. Edison scored a run in the top of the 1st on a hit , walk and an error. The game stayed that way until Huron tied it up in the bottom of the 4th  when  the Chiefs scored with out a hit . Dom Russo walked with 1 out then stole 2nd base Shaun Folkwein was hit by a pitch and on 2 consecutives wild pitches Russo scored to tie the score. Edison retook the lead the lead in the top of the 5th only to have Huron score 2 and take the lead. Max  Morse walked and advanced to 2nd on an error by the 1st baseman. Landin Campbell doubles home Morse. Nate Matsos singled to score Campball with the winning run . 

CHIEFS FALL 9-2 AGAINST D.C.

Four Errors contributed to the Chiefs demise. Landin Campbell and Keaton Diserens led the Chiefs with 2 hits each . Cole Forester started and took the loss for Huron

PITCHING, DEFENSE , HITTING ALL ON DISPLAY AGAINST G.I.

Tyler Gray started and went the distance striking out 2 walking none and giving up zero earned runs. Cole Forester went 3-4 with 4 rbi's and 2 runs scored Aiden Sainato had 2 hits. The big hit of the day was Dom Russo's 1st career high school HR it was 2 run shot to left field. Defense was sharp as they turned 2 double plays on the infield . Nate Matsos and Shaun Folkwein each had 2 great running catches. The Chiefs improved to 9-3-1 and have a double header today against Divine Child

JENKINS GOES THE DISTANCE IN 10-4 WIN 

Jordyn Jenkins threw 99 pitches in the 10-4 win over Riverview . He struck out 8 and only allowed 1 earned run in the win. Dom Russo 2 hits , Jenkins 2 hits and Shaun Folkwein 2 hits paced the attack.  The win pushed the Chiefs record to  7-3-1 with SMCC coming to play Huron on Wednesday

RUSSO, FOLKWEIN AND DISERENS DOMINATE IN WIN

Huron defeated Monroe 9-4 behind the pitching of Diserens who struck out 7 and allowed only 2 earned runs . Dom Russo contributed 2 hits, 3 RBI's and 2 stolen bases while Shaun Folkwein added 2 hits , 3 runs scored amd 3 stolen bases in the win . Cole Forester added 2 hits  2 runs scored and 3 stolen bases. Max ( Dont call me Nate coach) Morse picked up the save with 1.1 innings pitched

HURON DEFEATS AIRPORT 19-5

After falling behind 3-0 in the first inning the Chiefs out scored the Jets 19-2 .  The hitting attack was led by Jaydyn Jenkins with 4 hits , while Dom Russo had 3 hits, 2 runs scored and 5 RBI's, Cole Forester ,Aiden Sainato , Patty Hilliker and Tyler Gray had 3 hits  Gray also had 4 RBI's. Forester started and struggled with control issues Gray took over and went 5 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 3

BATS PICK UP THE GLOVES IN 10-6 WIN INPROVE TO 4-0

The Chiefs led the entire game until the defense went awry . Leading 4-0 thru 5 innings Tecumseh scored 6 times on 2 hits and 4 errors to take a 6-4 lead. Huron rallied for 6 runs in the top of the 7th and retook the lead when Cole Forester doubled to deep left scoring Keaton Diserens from 2nd base/  The Chiefs pitching allowed 3 hits , 0 earned runs and had 11 strikeouts in the 10-6 win. Huron overcame 8 errors in the game. Tyler Gray started and allowed only 1 hit and struck out 6 in 4 innings of work.Ryan Fisher pitched 1.1 innings and struck out 2 hitters.  Dom Russo picked up the win (1-0)  striking out 3 in 1.2 innings pitched. Russo also shined at the plate going 3-3 .  Cole Forester went 2-4 with 3 RBI's and a run scored.
