Renton vs Simpson 5/9/18

As the thunder and lightning moved out, the Renton Chiefs struck. Even with the wet conditions, many runners set personal records and three more school records were broken.

In the first relay of the meet, the Renton boys 800M relay team set a record with a time of 1:48.4. In the 200M hurdles back to back records fell with Alex Smith(28.94c) taking down the boys record followed by Layla Hamilton(33.34c) in the girls race.

The Renton boys placed first in eleven events and swept the 70M dash, winning the meet with 90 points to Simpson’s 38.

The Renton girls placed first in fifteen events and swept the high jump, 55M hurdles, 800M run, 100M dash, 400M dash, 70M dash and 200M hurdles. Renton’s final score was 117 to 11.
