Huron League Jamboree #1, September 28, 2021
The postponed Jamboree gave us much better weather to run in and the Renton Girls Cross Country took advantage of it. As a team, the girls took 2nd out of 5. They had three get recognized for their top 14 finish out of 55 runners Avery Turk 3rd (13:34.5), Falyn Doss 4th (14:08.2), Maggie Mentzer 13th (15:55.8). Renton’s other finishers Kirsten Perecki 15th (16:08.2), Julia Welch 30th (18:44.9), Stella Mac 31st (18:52.4PR), Amelia Szawara 33rd (19:01.6), Ryan Cheney 35th (19:24.8PR), Kayla Tarjeft 41st (21:11.2), Brooklyn Ladach 42nd (21:25.2), Ivy Akenbauer 48th2 (24:55.8).
Renton Boys Cross Country team was also able to capitalize on the great weather also. They place as a team 1st out of 4 teams. 12 boys beat and set new personal records (PR). The boys also had eight that were recognized for their top 14 finish, Luke Dulecki 2nd (11:52.6), Louie Macon 5th (12:41.3PR), Jordan Stasak 8th (13:05.4), Ryan Biller 9th (13:06.7PR), Ian Akenbauer 10th (13:18.5PR), Mason Thomas 11th (13:31.2), Kyle Siggett 12th (13:32.5), Cameron Crane 14th (13:47.2PR). Renton boys other finishers are Cole Druyor 28th (14:55.1PR), Will Ryan 31st (15:10.5PR), Max Banas 33rd (15:15.3), Austin Krause 38th (15:42.9), Aidan Hebert-Foe 40th (16:02.5), Liam Holdwick 47th (17:18.3), Joel Lazenby 57th (18:33.2PR), John Lapointe 59th (18:50.0), Ethan Brophy 64th (19:55.3PR), Adam Barnabei 68th (20:48.3), Henry Broughton 70th (21:23.6), Elijah Covieo 71st (22:44.0), Oliver Scherz 72nd (22:47.6), nice job Dylan McDonald (12:50) on a good start.
