After all the rain from the week the CC course at Sterling State Park was a sloppy mess but the Renton girls CC team ran tough. As a team, they place 3rd out of 9 teams. Renton had three runners placed in the top 20 and received a medal, Avery Turk 6th (14:29.8), Falyn Doss 10th (14:43.7), and Maya Thomas 14th (15:00.4). Renton’s other finishers are Maggie Mentzer 30th (16:11.9), Kirsten Perecki 38th (16:41.0), Julia Welch 79th (19:42.3), Ryan Cheney 81st (19:51.5PR), Amelia Szawara 85th (20:40.0), Stella Mac 92nd (21:03.3), Kayla Tarjeft 102nd (21:56.2), Brooklyn Ladach 103rd (21:59.8), and Ivy Akenbauer 108th (23:40.5) out of 120 runners.
The Renton boys Cross Country team put in a great performance despite the, even more, deteriorated course, having to run later in the evening. They also took 3rd as a team out of 10 teams. Renton boys had four receive a medal for their top 20 finish, Luke Dulecki 2nd (12:04.9), Jordan Stasak 10th (13:22.0), Ryan Biller 12th (13:35.9), and Ian Akenbauer 16th (13:45.8). The boy's other finishers out of 149 racers are, Kyle Siggett 21st (14:08.7), Louie Macon 22nd (14:11.2), Cameron Crane 29th (14:22.6), Mason Thomas 29th (14:30.9), Cole Druyor 52nd (15:21.2PR), Austin Krause 72nd (16:25.0), Max Banas 78th (16:36.9), Aidan Herbert-Foe 96th (17:38.2), Liam Holdwick 121st (19:16.4), John Lapointe 123rd (19:23.3), Henry Broughton 129th (19:59.0), Ethan Brophy 136th (21:09.2), AJ Barnabei 137th (21:15.2), and Elijah Covieo 143rd (23:21.0).
