Sat. Sept. 22 – Jefferson Invitational

The Huron Boys Cross Country team, with three PR’s, placed 5^th out of 12 teams with 137 points at the Jefferson Invitational. Three of our varsity runners earned medals for finishing in the top 30: Drew Bean 18^th (17:33.0 PR), Adam Mentzer 20^th (17:40.2 PR) and Ayden Roupe 21^st (17:41.7). Gabe Welch placed 33^rd (18:15.9 PR) out of 108, Brendan Gyolai 52^nd (18:45.7), Sean Morris 53^rd (18:46.7), Remy Emelian 62^nd (19:10.2), Austin Fritz 64^th (19:13.8), Grant Wilkinson 69^th (19:37.6) and Nathan Holder 79^th (20:08.9).

The JV team with half of the team setting new PR’s placed 11^th out of 19 teams. Lawrence Stanley placed 82^nd (19:40.6 PR) out of 257 runners, Edison Carlile 105^th (20:13.0 PR), Kyle Meeker 118^th (20:35.0), Owen Lazenby 132^nd (20:56.2 PR), Erie Thomas 143^rd (21:09.1 PR), Keegan Ehrman 152^nd (21:17.7), Caleb Ferguson 162^nd (21:31.8 PR), Miles Fichtner 164^th (21:37.7 PR), Kyle Murney 173^rd (21:45.1), Lake Warden 198^th (22:42.4), Jacob Lerette 200^th (22:43.8), Kaden Tenaglia 204^th (22:48.9 PR), Ayden Mendez 206^th (22:54.8), Jamison Gambino 226^th (24:13.5), Jack Doxey 232^nd (24:40.2), Charlie Hoke 255^th (30:45.3), Tyler Doss (10:45* 1 mile time).

The Huron Varsity girls also had three PR’s for the day and placed 5^th out of 8 teams with 158 points. Natalie Marek finished in 33^rd (22:16.4) out of 71, Abby Biundo 35^th (22:33.5), Ashley Christesen 38^th (22:47.3), Ellie Fichtner 40^th (22:54.3), Olivia Randles 47^th (23:28.2), Jordan Roberts 55^th (24:50.1 PR), Kyndy Bennett 59^th (25:23.3 PR), Miranda Marek 61^st (25:41.2), Julia Wilkinson 64^th (26:02.8), Nevada Castillo 65^th (26:11.1). In the girls JV race, Caitlin Roupe placed 93^rd (25:34.0) out of 181 runners.
