Renton 8th grade softball grabbed an early lead on their way to a 9-7 win over Thomas Simpson Middle School Thursday evening. Renton scored four runs on five hits in the first inning. Later adding five more runs in the third inning to secure their first victory of the season.
Rylie Greggo got the win in the circle for Renton. She went five innings, allowing four hits, striking out six and walking two.
