Scott's Walk-Off Gives Huron Chiefs Jv Softball Victory Over Airport
Huron Chiefs Jv Softball took Monday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over Airport. The game was tied at six with Huron Chiefs Jv Softball batting in the bottom of the seventh when Brianna Scott singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Despite falling down by four runs in the third inning, Airport tried to fight back. Airport scored five runs in the failed comeback. Abby D, Chloe, Abby D, and Chloe each picked up RBIs.
Huron Chiefs Jv Softball got on the board in the first inning. Audrey Johnson doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Huron Chiefs Jv Softball scored three runs in the third inning. Julia Petrut and Michaela Dimambro each had RBIs in the big inning.
Johnson earned the victory on the rubber for Huron Chiefs Jv Softball . The righthander allowed seven hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out eight.
Kameryn took the loss for Airport. The hurler went six and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on 16 hits and striking out two.
Huron Chiefs Jv Softball had 16 hits in the game. Brooke Spears, Claire Setser, Dimambro, Scott, and Harlie Blosser all had multiple hits for Huron Chiefs Jv Softball . Dimambro, Setser, and Spears all had three hits to lead Huron Chiefs Jv Softball .
Chloe went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Airport in hits. Airport didn't commit a single error in the field. Hayley had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.
