Trenton Takes Second of Two Games vs Chiefs

Huron Chiefs Jv Softball watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 10-2 loss to Trenton on Saturday. Trenton scored on a single by Johnson in the first inning and a double by Dobbs in the second inning.
The Huron Chiefs Jv Softball struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Trenton, giving up ten runs.
In the first inning, Trenton got their offense started when Johnson singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Trenton scored five runs in the sixth inning. Trenton's big inning was driven by singles by Allstead and Emery, by Krohn, and an error on a ball put in play by Dobbs.
Duffay got the start for Trenton. The pitcher surrendered two runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.
Veronica Richardson was on the rubber for Huron Chiefs Jv Softball . Richardson lasted six innings, allowing nine hits and ten runs.
Richardson led Huron Chiefs Jv Softball with two hits in three at bats.
Trenton had nine hits in the game. Dobbs and Johnson each had multiple hits for Trenton. Dobbs went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Trenton in hits. Trenton didn't commit a single error in the field. Vanhoval had the most chances in the field with nine.
