Chiefs Early Lead Slips Away, Giving Way to Trenton Victory

Huron Chiefs Jv Softball fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 20-5 loss to Trenton on Saturday. Trenton scored on a single by Allstead, a triple by Johnson, a walk by Duffay, a groundout by Kempe, and a single by Allstead in the first inning.
The Huron Chiefs Jv Softball struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Trenton, giving up 20 runs.
Trenton fired up the offense in the first inning, when Allstead singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
Duffay led things off in the pitcher's circle for Trenton. Duffay allowed four hits and five runs over five innings, striking out five.
Claire Setser started the game for Huron Chiefs Jv Softball . The pitcher surrendered 14 runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out six. Veronica Richardson threw one inning out of the bullpen.
Michaela Dimambro, Haylie Mcdowell, Harlie Blosser, and Brooklyn Derwoed each collected one hit to lead Huron Chiefs Jv Softball .
Trenton totaled 13 hits in the game. Allstead, Johnson, Trombley, and Skiles each managed multiple hits for Trenton. Allstead went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Trenton in hits.
