Huron Chiefs JV took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off home run at the end of the game to topple Howell High School. Huron Chiefs JV trailed 7-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Samantha Howarth homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.
Howell High School scored five runs in the seventh inning, but Huron Chiefs JV still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Howell High School came thanks to singles by Parrott, Pruss, and Anderson.
Gracie Brinkerhoff was the winning pitcher for Huron Chiefs JV. She lasted five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out eight and walking one. Leah Stacey threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Huron Chiefs JV launched one home run on the day. Howarth went deep in the seventh inning.
