JEFFERSON MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL: 6
Wednesday's game against Jefferson was a heartbreaker for Huron Chiefs JV, as they lost the lead late in a 6-3 defeat. Jefferson trailed 2-1 in the top of the third inning when Struth doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Huron Chiefs JV opened up scoring in the first inning. Gracie Bowman doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
L Dyson got the start for Jefferson. She lasted three and a third innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out one.
Elizabeth James started the game for Huron Chiefs JV. She went two innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out three and walking one. Leah Stacey and Ellyse Town entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.
Lauren Dioszegi, Bowman, Logan Martin, Gabby Howarth, and Sydney Ziegler each managed one hit to lead Huron Chiefs JV.
Jefferson totaled six hits. Struth and Rose all managed multiple hits for Jefferson. Jefferson was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Rose made the most plays with six.
