Step Right Up, Step Right Up!  Go with me on a magical journey filled with excitement, assists, penalty shots and goal scoring.  There was no smoke and mirrors yesterday as Maggie Warden, once again, got the  Houdini Chiefs, I Mean Huron Chiefs, off to another 1-0 lead.  Breeann Roupe asked Taylor High School, the Home team, which foot is the ball under as she cleverly tucked the ball into the net from a Madelyn Barbour pass.  Barbour then began to saw the other team in half with two consecutive goals, one from the penalty spot and the other Bar Down.  Sophomore Kayla Sexton, not normally recognized for her involvement with the attack, showed some “slight of foot” scoring her first of the season when Melissa Mentzer sliced her a ball.  Sophomore Amelia Campbell made a special guest appearance, flying in from Mississippi.  She was able to make the ball disappear into the goal two times, once from the penalty spot and the other unassisted.  Hannah Sample not only amazed the crowd with her dazzling defense but also with her goal keeping skills. Sophomore  Gia Dean mesmerized the audience when she tucked a neatly placed ball into the net from a Barbour assist.  Melissa Mentzer had the crowd seeing double when she assisted two goals.  Mentzer scored one her own, unassisted as well.  Danica Lividini had the crowd Oohhing and Ahhhing as she worked tirelessly to try to score.  Maddie Singer magically appeared before the goal multiple times and nearly got through to score.  Mira Lazenby had all in attendance seeing things they had never seen before as she controlled the right side of the field the entire game.  All in all this performance was more exciting than watching knives being thrown at balloons or rabbits being pulled from hats.  This amazing group of girls are definitely the top performers and the ticket price to get to witness their skills  really isn’t to bad.
