Despite being super rainy and super cold the Chiefs hosted Edsel Ford High School to a 7-0 match.  Sophomore Kayla Sexton was back in action and centered the defense for the perfect shutout.  Hannah Sample and Hannah Purcell both aided Sexton while sophomore Madelyn Barbour controlled the defensive midfield area and was able to get into the attack repeatedly.   Gia Dean and Danica Lividini ran the outside positions and helped establish field positioning for the attackers that lit up the goal.  Melissa Mentzer scored first with a solo shot followed by Maggie Warden’s goal from Breeann Roupe’s assist.  Roupe had her own goal from sophomore Mira Lazenby just minutes before Warden scored a volley directly out of the air from Amelia Campbell’s corner.  Second half action saw Mentzer score her second and Campbell score her first from a Maggie Warden’s pass.  The highlight film goal was a well disciplined Breeann Roupe who held back post positioning and timed a beautiful volley into the upper netting from the foot of Warden.  Lily Cholette was awarded the shutout in goal and Courtney Balazs was awarded the loss in 1v1 hoops with Coach Matt.  Special thanks to our awesome ball girls who were amazing and our clock crew, that was, well, the only clock crew we had tonight.
