CRESTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL: 1

The Chiefs came out full speed and ready to play after nearly two years off. Sophomore Gia Dean scored three minutes into her high school debut to send the visiting Crestwood high school a serious message. Sophomore Madelyn Barbour scored the team’s second goal At the 15:00 minute mark from all star stand out Marianna Gonzalez.  Just over three minutes later Sophomore Amelia Campbell had an amazing shot that nearly scored but ended up on Sophomore Breann Roupe’s foot who neatly tucked it away for a 3-0 lead.  Sophomore Kayla Sexton anchored the squad at center defense and along with Freshman Hannah Purcell, Hannah Sample and Lilly Chollette, the opposing Crestwood team was unable to get near the Chief’s goal.  Just before halftime Gonzalez scored one of her own sending the Chiefs into halftime up 4-0.  As the second half continued, freshman Madeline Singer worked tirelessly up and down the right side trying to create space and get to goal.  The goal of the night came from a Madelyn Barbour corner that was sliced back post to Breann Roupe who attacked the goal and scored directly out of the air.  Crestwood high school was awarded a corner kick halfway through the second half and converted, bringing the game to 5-1 but not before the Chiefs would add three more.  Freshmen Danica Lividini attempted to get on the Huron scoreboard and worked hard while Barbour assisted Dean on her second of the night and Roupe added her third of the night. Campbell finished the game off with her 1st of the night ending the game 8-1.  Stay up to date with what this team is doing because they are going to be really exciting this season.
