For some reason girls junior varsity soccer struggles to catch on in the Huron soccer league. Riverview has a team and Huron has a team. Huron has a team and Riverview has a team. Both Riverview and Huron have a team, both Huron and Riverview have a team.  As repetitive as that sounds, that has been what the majority of the Huron schedule has looked like.  For this reason the Huron Chiefs would like to thank the coaching staff and players of the Riverview Pirates who have had to put up with the Chiefs time and time again.  Huron appreciates Riverview more than the Pirates could ever imagine because without them both programs would probably cease.  Today at the final meeting it was just about sportsmanship and a mutual respect that the Huron League has come to an end.  Alexa Yoder scored a solo goal early on which stood as the game winner.  Just soon after the goal was scored the game was suspended because of an injury to a Huron player that forced the game to end.  Prayers are with that player who braved through the injury and was eventually taken to the hospital.  Huron is back in action tomorrow at Trenton at 6:00 to face a Downriver league team.
