Huron league play resumed last night as the JV girls, who are currently tied for first place, visited the Rams of Flatrock. The Chiefs knew it would be difficult but team captains Mikayla Knott and Hannah Randles rallied their team to a 3-0 victory. Freshman Molly Hall worked the ball to freshman Emma Bobic Who assisted freshman Kiara Rosales for the first goal of the game. Shayla McManaman, Asia Riley, Ashley Kamensky, Mamoona Chaudhry, and Patthicha Mahakijaechachai worked tirelessly to keep the Rams from scoring. Goal 2 came just before halftime from a Jordan Bycofski pass to freshman Courtney Balazs Who sliced a near post shot past the outstretched keeper. Huron played more than 45 minutes with only 10 players on the field due to injuries but walked away victorious 3-0 after Balazs tallied her second of the evening.
