AIRPORT HIGH SCHOOL: 30
The Chiefs gained another win after defeating the Jets Monday evening with a final score of 37 to 32. The Chiefs had trouble getting them to fall in the first half allowing Airport to have the lead going into halftime. The Chiefs came out ready to play in the second half while quickly taking the lead and never looking back. Freshman guard Gabby Emelian led the Chiefs with thirteen points. Sophomore guard Maddie Singer had seven points, freshman guard Rylie Cassette had six points, freshman forward Addison Bozynski had four points,and freshman guard Lila Monte had three points. Both Centers Emma Otter and Emma James each had a bucket. The Chiefs continue to make improvements and it is showing at the final buzzer. Next stop is at Milan Thursday evening to avenge an early season loss.
