ST. MARY CATHOLIC CENTRAL: 22
The Chiefs were able to put away S.M.C.C. Thursday evening with a game that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. It was a defensive battle with S.M.C.C. leading the first three quarters. The Chiefs were able to fight back and dominate the fourth quarter, outscoring C.C. 12 to 3. When the final buzzer sounded the Chiefs got the win with a final score of 26 to 22. Freshman guard Gabby Emelian led the Chiefs with thirteen points. Sophomore Hannah Purcell and Freshman Addison Bozynski had four points a piece, while sophomore guard Maddie Singer had three points and Freshman center Emma James had two. The Chiefs are now looking forward to their next Huron league game vs Airport.
