AIRPORT HIGH SCHOOL: 31
The Chiefs defeated the Airport Jets Thursday evening with a final score of 39 to 31. The Chiefs took an impressive lead in the first quarter outscoring the Jets 17 to 7 and never gave it up. Freshman guard Gabby Emelian led the Chiefs with a season high 22 points. Sophomore forward Maggie Warden had eight points. Freshman forward Addison Bozynski had four points. Emma James, Lila Monte and Hannah Purcell all got a bucket to fall before the final buzzer. The Chiefs are now looking forward to another Huron league matchup with the Milan Reds Monday evening.
