ST. MARY CATHOLIC CENTRAL: 34
The Chiefs narrowly defeated S.M.C.C. in a Saturday morning match up that had everyone in the gym on the edge of their seats. The constant pressure defense from the Chiefs was a key factor in the victory. Freshman forward Melissa Mentzer led the Chiefs with eleven points. Sophomore point guard Tiffany Burns had eight points while fellow sophomore guard Elizabeth Anderson had seven points. Freshman Hannah Purcell had four points, and both Emma Sic, and Marissa Jackson had three points a piece. The Chiefs continue to improve every game. With this win it brings the Chiefs to 8-2 in the Huron league.
